First of all, I want to thank you for visiting my site. I created this website to help parents with teaching their children to read at home. I have 10 years of experience in education, and I fully believe that the best readers get reading help at home.
While all of the information provided on this site is provided free of charge and available for everyone to use, I do promote and sell 3rd party products and services through affiliate marketing. This helps me provide additional income so that I can spend more time researching and writing about reading help at home.
I want to assure you that I have worked hard to earn your trust. I only promote products that I fully believe in and believe to be of value to you the parent and to your children.
I always begin the process of selecting products to promote with myself as a customer in mind. If the product isn’t something that I wouldn’t purchase, I won’t promote it. I also consider the added value it provides to you my viewers. Products that I promote have to provide added value to my viewers.
Often, I have been a customer myself before I have promoted a product. If not, I have done my homework and researched the product. I don’t just blindly push products.
Affiliate links are how I promote products. You will see these scattered through my posts at times. You’ll know when you do because I will tell right next to the link that this is an affiliate link. It will look like this-(Yes, this is an affiliate link.). I will also put a disclosure at the top of the post that this post contains affiliate links.
My disclosure looks like this- This post contains affiliate links which means I recommend products and services I’ve used or know well and may receive a commission if you purchase them too (at no additional cost to you).
I use two main types of affiliate programs:
1. Amazon affiliate links.
Teachernirvana.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, amazon.com. Amazon offers a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links. Each of your purchases via our Amazon affiliation links supports our cause at no additional cost to you.
If a blogger links to an Amazon product (with a special code for affiliates embedded in the link), and a reader places an item in their “shopping cart” through that link within 24 hours of clicking the link, the blogger gets a small percentage of the sale. Amazon links are not “pay per click.” If you click on the product link and stay around Amazon and purchase something else, however, I will get commission on that sale.
Anytime you see a link that looks like astore.com/… or amazon.com… it can be assumed that it is an Amazon affiliate link.
2. Product affiliate links.
These affiliate links work the same way: if you click the link and buy the product, then the blogger gets a percentage of the sale or some other type of compensation. Things like e-book bundles, e-courses, and online packages are usually affiliate links, as well. Again, prices are not different if you use these affiliate links. You will not pay more by clicking through to the link. These links are not “pay per click”, unless otherwise denoted.
My Purpose for Affiliate Links
I believe in being upfront and honest with you. I am here to help you help your children read better through reading at home. Affiliate marketing helps me pay the bills while I do that. Even while saying that, I fully acknowledge that my number one concern is your child’s reading level and your experience with reading at home.
My Own Products
At times, I will promote my own products that I have personally created for sale on this site. I will let you know when this is the case.
